I'm lookng to purchase a laptop to replace my old stand alone PC, I'm looking at the Samsung NPR 700 note book, which cost around £600, can any advise me if this is money well spent or if they know of another note book that will be just as good but is cheaper ?

A good selection from the site below. If you are The Stig which one? :))

It's always a personal choice but I prefer Toshiba laptops, they are sturdily built, good after sales service, they will send you software and firmware update notices by email, and have a quality reputation. I chose the P100 over a year ago and have not been disappointed - in fact they emailed today to ask how I felt about the machine so they seem to care about following up.
