Mono Laser printer recommendations

Main use to print out documents at home. Price preferably under £100, any recommendations or ones to steer clear of??

Get a hp if you can for that price; otherwise there are some good deals on Samsung at times as well.

Thanks for the link, I have looked at this one in PC World and also a similar one that was a Samsung, but must admit I woud prefer the paper to either be in a drawer or held on top, so I have more desk space.

I've had a Samsung ML 1520 for some time now, printed out hundreds of A4s, refilled it 3 times, Highly recommended at the price (about £50)

Definately the HP 1020... I've had mine for about 6 months, paid under £100 for it at Argos and it's all good.

It starts up very quickly, prints super-fast and doesn't take up too much space. Not sure about refills as I haven't run out yet - but the whole reason for looking at mono lasers was the price I was paying for my inkjet refils.

The only downside is colour. A nice black or silver to match my tablet would be nice.

im with matto on the HP 1010. Ive had mine ages and its still on its original toner cartridge. Good prints and much easier and quicker than an inkjet.

Bought mine off the comet website for £75 incl delivery but it was some time ago now. Im sure the 1020 is just as good.

Toner cartridge refills etc are readily available just as with inkjet equivalents. See:

As Diodorus Siculus mentions, there are regular offers on the Samsung ML 1520 and ML 1610 for around £49.99.

Here's a link for the 1610 for £44 plus VAT:

Thanks for all your help, we have decided to get another Samsung, and have ordered a ML 1520, this got a very good review which helped us make our decision, we didnt like the ML1610 paper input, much preferred the drawer.
