Oh and the USB is not version 2.

Do you have any information on any other computer hardware/ software on offer at Lidl in the coming weeks??? I ask because there are usually some good buys to pick up on the same days as the computers...Thanks (;o))) Oh and prices etc...???

I make the observation that you may wish to consider the ability of non computer specialists to "look after you" if you are unfortunate enough for something to go wrong.

friend of mine bought one - it went wrong and lidl refused to deal with problem in uk said it must be sent back to germany at his expense. also when he contacted targa directly they told him they were recalling 50 units a week from europe of his particular model because it had a known fault. his problem is still unresolved.

I personally don't have experience of returning stuff to Lidl, I (personally again) just would be wary of spending so much money at a non-specialist store. As ever, everyone is going to have different experiences which is why I definitly didn't say "don't shop at..."!!

Why don't you pretend you have bought one and are having trouble with "????" and ask the store for advice/contact telephone number and see how good they are at sorting out your pretend problem?

As ever, you pays your money and takes your choice!

Good luck whatever you decide.
