Looking at getting this 42" LG plasma TV.
Empiredirect have it at £429.99 plus c.£20 delivery. Same one is over £500 elesewhere.
Anyone able to beat this price?

just wondering if anyone has got one of these TVs already and able to comment on what it's like? Picture/features/sound/ease of set up, etc?

I am no expert on HD tvs but i think why i can see why this is so cheap, i am guessing that this is actually quite an old HD tv becuase it's resolution is actually very low (1024 x 768). To be future proof you really want to be looking at tvs that stat in there specs they are 1080p (1920x1080).

No idea what your budget is but if i was you i would pay a little more now instead of buying a cheap one now and then replacing it again in a couple years time when HD really takes off in this country (probably after the digital swtichover)

Need to check what my Pioneer 42" plasma is, which is a superb picture btw. If it's also 1024x768 then I won't mind so much on the LG one.
