I am thinking about buying an LCD TV:

Toshiba 27WL46B

1. Is this technology worth considering for a TV?
2. Is this a good buy?
3. Should I wait a while longer for prices to fall further?

for WOW factor, LCD TV is great

for WOW factor and good picture quality, plasma is much much better, but the life of plasma is limited due to burn-in problem

for good picture quality, LCD cannot compete with CRT for brightness and contrast

price seems very good, I think you better to have a comparsion between CRT and LCD in Currys before you buy it.

LCD TFT is the future stable TV or Monitor for now. Maybe Plasma will sort out lifespan then it will be competitive just the same as CRT against LCD cost is a factor. For me LCD is all that I use apart from an old CRT monitor which weight wise is far heavier twice the weight of a 30" TFT LCD
