HP Technical help

  shellship 17:36 11 May 2010

A few years ago I had a problem with my much loved HP PSC 2210 but managed to sort it out quite quickly by communicating on-line with an HP technical person - very good. Now have another problem with same much loved beast but can no longer get advice the same way. To do so I would have to have IE7 or FF2. I have IE8 and FF3, like most people. Do HP no longer want to help? - I have emailed them but no reply. So have bitten bullet and bought a Canon Pixma as I need a PSC NOW.

I don't understand why the version of IE makes a difference?

I was recently in touch with HP regarding a printer problem, and they answered virtually by return. The browser, even the latest ones should not make any difference.

One thing perhaps not in their favour, while amicable, they didn't answer the question fully, and I still have an unusable HP printer.

On line communication with HP is no longer available in the UK, it's now restricted to US only.

Onthelimit - The HP site specifically states that only FF2 or IE will do.

morddwyd - The explains it - thanks.
