I bought a Hi-Grade AS8400 in March 2002, and have had nothing but trouble. The hard drive crashed in September 2002, then the motherboard gave up the ghost two months later, then the new hard-drive crashed again in March 2003. Hi-Grade failed to return my machine from repair at the agreed time, and when I checked my repaired machine a couple of months ago I discovered that my 20GB hard-drive had been replaced by a 12GB hard-drive.
I have been in touch with the company, and they say that they are unable to replace my machine, as I have asked them to. I am pursuing the matter further, but in the mean-time, I don't recommend buying from Hi-Grade.
