I will stick with AVG, for nothing.

did not check their prices, had a lot of hassle & problems buying direct from them before. always get my norton from other outlets. but it's a good price.

yes it's an excellent price. There is no point in me going to buy it because my 2006 subscription is not up until the end of December and I think you have to activate it within 15 days of purchase (says this on the yellow label on back of installation CD case)

bought mine not aware of the 15 day day install of purchase do not intent to open the boxes till nov for the wife & the other jan for myself. i think the 15 day activation is once you put the cd in the machine and load the software, i wanted to take advantage of the offer while it lasts.

the boxes could be on the shelf ages in the store how would norton know when the store sold them?

why would anyone want to buy things like Norton and the like, when you can get the same protection for free off the internet..

  Jimmy14 13:03 22 Oct 2006

what was the point in your post and you are the one who is asking for the argument, the reason why people buy Norton is because they don't want free rubbish on their computers in my OPINION.

  Ikelos 13:09 22 Oct 2006

Jimmy14, hi, no good you getting on my case, I wondered why people buy it, and AVG is hardly rubbish, if it was it would soon be sussed out as such..........

  sunny staines 17:08 22 Oct 2006

the post was for those wanting to buy norton, not another saga on the pro's and con's of free anti virus software.
