external hard drive advice please!

Hi - I need to buy an external hard drive because my laptop is almost full, mostly of video. I'm happy to spend around £60-70. I'm happy with a desk top version, it doesn't need to be portable. Having looked around already it seems I can get anything from 160gb to 750gb for that price, and I'm not really sure what the pros and cons are between the models of different capacities. I've never used one before so unfamiliar with what I should be looking for. If you have any experience and advice to offer it will be gratefully received. Thanks.

assuming it's for back-up get one that's at least the same size as the hard disc on you PC. the cheapest £/GB are usually the popular ones of the moment.

You could do a lot worse than this

but other makes are available for the same price with more capacity - eg 750GB

Try this one - I've had one of these for some three months and a 250 gig version for a couple of years.
