I am looking to buy an external USB2 HDD to use for back-up can anyone recommend. Budget £70 MAX

This is available from Aldi Jan.13th. I presume that there are caddies readly available to fit this?,also there is a query regarding thew cache size posted on Consumer forum, should you have 8mb cache.Is this a good buy?

As said above, I would recommend the Maxtor One Touch as well. Very well made, silent in operation with a good spec.

It has it's power supply, needs USB2 on your machine to get the best data transfer rate.

If your MOB does not have USB(2) then you can buy a PCI Card USB(2) Adaptor.
