Durable laptop for field research

I'm trying to figure out which laptop (or hybrid) should I choose for my field research. I'll be traveling in rural regions of Central Asia for several months and I need a durable device with a good battery that won't let me down.

I'd expect for it to withstand some temperature changes, a lot of carrying around and sometimes a harsher treatment without breaking. It should also stay charged for a reasonable amount of time, since electricity won't be always available. I'm not looking for something with a high performance, it just has to manage some pretty basic office and multimedial tasks without the constant need of being serviced or repaired. The cost should be up to 400 GBP, though something cheaper would be always appreciated.

I'll be grateful for any advice!
