When I Turn Off my windowsXP computer I get an error message headed DDCMan.exe - The instruction at 0x771c1d84 could not be read....etc.......
If I ignore it, it disappears and the pc shuts down normally.

Please can someone tell me what this relates to and what I can do about it.

Digital Distribution Channel from WildTangent - adware.

If you use Ad-Awares program, it should remove it successfully.

Or if you have WildTangent installed then simply un-install it, and re-install again if you want to.

Many thanks. Yes, I have found Wild Tangent on my computer.

Before i uninstall it, can you tell me what it does, please. I clicked on the DDCMan.exe file and nothing happened. It sounds like some sort of spyware? Is it?

Also, what is the Ad-Awares program you mention?

Thanks again.

I know that on one gaming site Wildtangent is needed to play a particular game. So probably it's like Macromedias Shockwave.

Looks like it countains spyware though (not good)
