Consumer Credit Act / Sales of Goods Act WHIC ONE?

Hi there, the protection built into the credit card purchases were you can claim liabilty from the credit card companies if your goods are faulty, is this sales of goods act, or consumer credit act, I believe it is the consumer credit act as you can claim liabilty from people that you have borrowed money from....is this correct.
