Colour Laser for Photographs

  HondaMan 12:14 14 Oct 2011

In you Samsung CLP-775ND Colour Laser Printer review you say that photographs are a challenge for it as with most lasers which impliers that there are laser printers which can cope.

Is there a list anywhere of such laser printers?

The Xerox ColorQube 8570/8870 series do a great job of printing glossy colour pictures on plain paper, the downsides are it costs a lot to buy and even more to replace the wax ink modules? (to be fair though you do get lots of prints with the single set that comes with it) to use the ink economically you also need to keep the printer powered up continuously 24/7, it does however have a Power Saver Mode which helps reduce the power usage somewhat

PS you cannot use Inkjet Glossy Paper in a Laser it will Damage the Printer

Glossy Paper will stick to the Drums ~ Very, very, expensive to correct.

However, there are some quality Colour Reproduction Papers that produce quite good results.
