How do you try out a printer online? Canon has launched just such a service. You upload a digital image to the Canon Web site and specify the printer you want it to be tested on. Canon promises that the resulting sample printout will be posted back to you first class.

Four printers are available for testing through the service: i550 (RRP £119), S750 (£139), S820 (£149) and S530D (£249).

As it says the image you send to them will be printed on the sellected printer and returned to you for inspection this is to see if you are happy with the print quality.
