I have a 22 yr old daughter who needs the portability of a notebook/laptop? I don't really Know the differnces between the two. She needs one that can handle multi-tasking, presentations and the ability to output the video and sound to a projector. and also for the soundcard to be good enough for her to be able to do good editing and mixing with the right software. I have a budget of £1000 max. There are so many to choose from and so many different spec's, it's hard to find the right balance between price and spec's.

Cheers.

Worth a look click here and read the reviews.

Looked at site, good range but still muddled with to many option choices e.g. xp op system not pre-installed in a price bracket that other manufacturers have as standard.

Acer laptops generally have a balance between features, performance, reliability, price and portibility.
