Buying a laptop - £850

  Vegemite 11:27 01 Jun 2005

Am looking to buy a laptop for around £850, but the number of different options is confusing me.

Basically just need something that has:
- 60-80 GB hard drive
- 15" screen
- good sound to play music
- good graphics for gaming
- Firewire (have Ipod)
- would prefer Pent M or AMD

Appreciate any suggestions.

you may need to specify what is good gaming

If you are playing latest boy's games, such as half life 2, you may find it difficult to find one at that budget

But, £850 is enough for a good laptop.

I have an the inspiron and I chose the ati 6700 mobile graphics graphics .yet I, chose a 40GB hard drive ,,WHY ..because I got a good reduction by doing so ,and I will fit a 7500 hard drive later ,as I think an 80, 5400 hard drive running in a notbook is slow ,(but that is only my opinion) I have an.exterior hard drive also I do not agree with this idea of a large hard drive at all

sorry but most laptops are 4500 speed hard drives ,not 5400
