Biscit: another isp bites the dust

  Ellen G 16:50 14 Mar 2007

For those who don't know (and that seems to include PCA and BT), Biscit Internet has gone into liquidation and Breathe Internet will not be taking over the customers. Their rescue plan failed this morning.

So it's another long fight for MACs for 35000 people.

ISP review is keeping those affected up to date. Don't ring Biscit or Ofcom. They have no news.

All the best to Biscit's customers,

I have never heard of either, maybe that was the problem.

When the cable franchises were issued, there were lots of different companies involved. I think we are down to Virgin now.

Looks like the ISP's are headed the same way.

I was with v21 and to save the hassle we just moved to biscit last November. Yesterday the plug was pulled and was directed to BT Wholesale web message, I got my MAC code within 4 minutes and have signed up with Virgin.

They say 7 - 10 days but I also recieved a text to say that we should be set up within 5 days.

Fingers crossed this time.
