It's a great mouse, but it does cost a fair bit - around about £45...

Depends what you're wanting to use it for I guess

Got a MX700 and its superb...only about another £10 to buy it with the cordless keyboard.

If not a new kid is on the block the MX1000 about £60

try one with its own charger pod, saves one batteries. I think "cherry" are bringing out solar powered mouse & keyboard soon.

Solar powered!

The light of day never penetrates the dark corner where my PC resides

Can't recommend one for everyday home use, but imagine that there's a cheaper one available than the one I recommended (which is a very tasty mouse to use if you ever decide to play games by the way)

Priced at £15.26 at Costco.

When my pack of batteries are used up, and you'll need a pack, I'm opting for a corded optical mouse.
