ATI Radeon X1800 XT....Vs... Geforce 7800 GTX

  Need4Speed 11:46 15 Nov 2005

If you could choose 1 of the two graphics cards as above which would it be?

Price isnt a factor in the decision though!

Is there much in it in terms of fps etc and would they be compatibe ie to run 2 together (eg in SLI mode) on a ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe PCI-Express Mainboard - ATX.

Any advice......?

If you are looking to use two graphics cards eventually, it is worth pointing out that SLI is an NVIDIA only technolgy, so you will only be able to run Nvidia cards on it, with that ASUS motherboard.

If you do want to go the ATI route, you need a motherboard which supports CROSSFIRE, which is their SLI alternative. I have heard that there are teething problems with the initial batch of Crossfire motherboards as well.

Good luck with your purchase
