Anybody got some views on is it worth paying extra at the moment for the the new AMD 64 bit chip?

I am looking at an Evesham system v's Dell, roughly £250 difference for about similar supporting cast.

Just looking for your wise opinions.

The P4 Extreme Edition is what you want to be looking at if you want to compare it with 64 bitter. (not really comaparable)

64 FX is AMDs higer chip.

Without 64 bit software, includibg the o/s you'll never see it for what it is about.

Is there a timescale for the 64 bit software?

Because if it was say 18 months it might be worth buying a cheaper 32 bit spec until teh next upgrade in 2-3 years time?
