1950Pro is the better of the 2

ATI 1950 Pro is best I am lead to believe. And I think is probably the best AGP card you can get.
Unless someone knows better but the 1950 is the better card.

There are only two faster AGP cards atm.

XFX nVidia 7950 GT
GeCube Radeon X1950 XT

The first one is too expensive, and the second one is hard to find and doesn't sound too reliable.

Supposed to be an upcoming Radeon HD 3850, but I don't know when.

SUmmary:- X1950 Pro is better for older games, but the 2600XT is a match for it in newer games.

the 2600XT costs a fair bit less than the x1950 Pro, so had concerns on its performance - cost related in my mind, (more cost = better card) but not sure if this is the case in truth.

Browse ye benchmarks (yes, they're PCIe cards, doesn't matter for comparison purposes):-

See how the 2600XT gets hammered by the X1950 Pro?

That's a more recent benchmark in a new game.

Btw, if you do opt for the 2600XT, the cheaper Sapphire 256MB model will do just as well as the HIS 512MB one.
