I have been looking to buy a versatile gaming laptop for a reasonable price, and have been researching all over the net. I found this Zepto make, I have listed the specs below. They are charging £703 including VAT and shipping. My question is: is this too good to be true?

Can you post a link to the laptop please?

In comparison, check out these Dells with the same graphics card. Each has 3Gb less RAM & Vista Premium 32-bit, but with better processors & more hard drive space. I've also selected the superior TrueLife screen for each.

* 15.4" Dell Vostro 1500 click here = £581 (£557 with cashback - see below)

* 17" Dell Vostro 1700 click here = £645 (£618 with cashback - see below)

You'll ideally want a better graphics card in a 'gaming' laptop, but I guess all graphically-intensive games would need to be played on low settings. A true gaming laptop would have these specs click here, but I think £1900 is just too much to spend on a laptop! G

P.S. If you go through Quidco click here, you'll get £24-27 cashback for each respectively. Need to be registered, logged-in at Quidco & all cookies enabled in browser. Follow the Quidco link & at the Dell site search for N0415027 &/or N0417010

Each has 3Gb RAM (NOT 3GB less RAM!). G

click here - Note that I have not added anything onto the package yet. Also, the rpm on the SATA harddrive is faster on the Zepto laptop specs that I posted.

I have another question. This time about about gameplay possibilities. Would, for example, LOTRO: Shadows of Angmar (required specs listed below) run smoothly on the first Dell Vostro laptop you recommended?

LOTRO specs:
* Minimum System Requirements
OS: Windows® XP
Processor: Intel Pentium® 4 1.8 GHz or equivalent RAM: 512 MB
Video: 64 MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 3 or ATI® Radeon® 8500
Disk Space: 7 GB available
DirectX: DirectX® 9.0c
Optical Drive: 2x DVD-ROM
Internet: 56kbps Modem

* Recommended System Requirements
OS: Windows® XP / Vista
Processor: Intel Pentium® 4 2.8 GHz or equivalent RAM: 1 GB
Video: 128 MB NVIDIA® GeForce® FX 6800 or ATI® Radeon® X850
Disk Space: 10 GB available
DirectX: DirectX® 9.0c
Optical Drive: 2x DVD-ROM
Internet: Broadband DSL/Cable
