two copy's of XP on one machine (dual boot)

Simply question really. how?

I have video software that would work better if it had its own OS to it's self

I can't see clear instructions in the help files on how to do this.
Can anybody enlighten me

Cheers Lixdexik.

There are couple of common ways to do this:

A. 2x XP OSes on the same hard disk, but different partitions click here

B. 2x XP OSes on different hard disks (usually same as above guide, except you'll install XP on the other drive instead of partition)

Either way, XP will usually recognise there are two active system partitions & prompt which OS to boot to during bootup (you can also edit the boot.ini file to create/customise this). Or, failing which you can use a boot manager like the free GAG click here. G

I have printed that off and will now give it a go.
