Safari Bookmarks lost websites at top to swipe through on imac

Yesterday it was working as normal and today when clicking on Bookmarks icon it brings all the heading folders up in a list with side arrows for sub folders. Nothing comes at the top of the screen for the websites so I can swipe through to the one I want with the magic mouse. How can I get this back? It seems a backwards move if this is a new format. I am not very used to macs so please tell me in layman's terms. Thank you.

You've updated your Safari from version 6.05 to 6.1.

There is a discussion in Apple Support Communities about How to downgrade Safari 6.1 to 6.05 , before you do anything back up mails, contacts, and bookmarks just in case though or use Time Machine.

This thread is now locked and can not be replied to.
