Replacing LCD Screen on late model 2011 MacBook

  notoriousbig 10:23 22 Sep 2015

I need to replace the LCD upon my late model 2011 MacBook 13 Inch because it is ghosting. However I am unable to remove the glass cover. I am using all the recommended tools, ie a hair dryer and heat gun inconjuction with a suction cup. Heating the glass cover around the edge long enough for it to removed. However I am unable to remove it enough to insert plastic wedges all around it. Although an old MacBook, it was purchased from new and not a reconditioned model that could of had a replacement screen before where an incorrect glue was used and not the proper 3M glue.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I should proceed???

Many thanks in advance.

Anything like this and I don't think I would bother. Mind you if the screen is faulty you have nothing to loose.
