PC to Mac program

The title doesn't really sumarize the issue. It would be to long for a title.
I have a Mac program on my PC. Downloaded from a friend.
Can I burn this program onto a disc with Nero as an EXACT image, so that the Mac I want to put it on will recognize it?
Or is there another burning ROM that will accomplish this? If it can be done at all.
I'd just like to know before I toast a disc. I have enough coasters.

Can you not burn this on the Mac? It would be easier in the long run.

CD-Rs are so cheap, you're better of simply trying it yourself.

If I can't find anybody with a definite answer (one way or the other), I'll just take the time to burn it.
Thought that I'd give it a shot though.
The program is already downloaded onto the PC.
It might be possible to split it up and email it to myself. Then open the email on the Mac and download it.
What a pain.
Not sure that I have an app that will put together this prog on the Mac.
Sorry. I know that this was a question that was way out there. Probably only the engineers Nero know for sure.
I'll try it and report back. Just in case anybody is interested.
