Mail does not open properly on my iMac

  Kate Broxham 21:00 28 Mar 2018

When I open Mail the list of incoming emails appears on the left and a number of windows appear in the viewing area but no text - just "Loading"- and some old windows with emails in them. I also get the multi-coloured spinning disc but nothing further happens. I can receive email via phone and online so mail server is working properly.

There seems to be a similar problem with iPhoto.

I am running OS X 10.10.2

How full is your Hard Drive?

Only about 300GB out of 500GB full. It's a late 2009 iMac

Yosemite is an old MacOS is there any reason you have not updated.
