Jpeg thumbnails showing on desktop but no file

  DMME 12:14 10 Jan 2018

I recently imported a large number of images into my icloud photos account on my mac book pro (latest model with the touch bar) and two 'shadow' jepg thumbnails have appeared on my desktop. These can't be clicked, and they show over the top of a document when I open it. Does anyone know how to get rid of these please?

Go into the desktop folder in ICloud drive and see if you can delete from there.
