Ipad - cannot update my apps

  lion4253 13:47 27 Apr 2020

I have several apps on my iPad needing updating, but when I click "update" I get the message - "cannot update app because it was refunded or purchased with a different Apple ID" I have no idea what this refers to. Any Apple ID I may have had is lost, and I would like to know how I can proceed - perhaps by getting a new ID, which would no doubt ask for the existing ID, and that I don't have! Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

You must have an Apple ID to install Apps on the iPad.

The message is saying you got this App using a different Apple ID to the one you are currently using, as you have correctly identified getting another Apple ID will not help at all.

If the app is free then delete it and reinstall
