How to block MAC adresses?

Is there any program to block MAC adresses so people cannot go on my network but my friends can?

Most routers support MAC address filtering which, when enabled, only allows those network adapters whose MAC address has been entered to connect to the network.

It is my understanding that it is not a particularly secure method of restricting access. WPA or WPA2 encryption should also be used to secure the wireless network.

You should be able to use WPA then only the people who you give the encryption password to will be able to connect.

My router is about 5yrs old and it supports WPA and I have connected to it using Ubuntu before.

MAC is the massage authentication code so,basically it provides the authentication and if one tries to break it then its worthless.

Always use WPA-PSK when you can.
