Accounting software vendor, Xero, has reached 200,000 paying customers globally, and will reveal plans to expand its channel partner network at a conference in Sydney today.
The company will use its Annual Australian Xerocon conference as a platform to to provide an update of its latest customer numbers, key announcements and senior executive appointments.

In the past five months the company, which provides small business accounting software has increased its global customer base by 43,000. This is up from about 100,00 from a year ago and 50,000 just 10 months before that.
It has also continued its strong growth in Australia with the number of paying customers reaching 75,000, up from 51,000 in March this year.
Xero is also expanding its implementation channel partners to support the deployment of its practice studio platform to accountants.
The company will welcome Change GPS (a fully owned subsidiary of Change Accountants & Advisors), a consultancy practice to the accounting profession, as a practice studio implementation partner.
New partnerships with Microsoft certified partners Combo and Paradyne to assist accountants with migration and deployment of Office 365 will also be discussed.
This follows the launch of the first phase of the Xero Australian tax solution.
A number of senior appointments to its head office management team in Wellington will include Jonathan Allan, marketing general manager, Mark Rees, head of platform architecture, and David Wills, operations general manager.
Australia managing director, Chris Ridd, said the second half of FY14 promised even greater growth with launch of the its first Australian advertising campaign.
"We expect to see increased industry adoption and expanded market share."
