IT outsourcing provider The Missing Link has launched a new business unit to focus on the providing innovative security capabilities and services to clients across Australia.
Aaron Bailey and Sam Marshall will head up the new division as security manager and principal security controller, respectively.
Bailey, who has more than 17 years experience in ICT, mainly focused on security where he has worked as engineer, consultant, architect and manager in Australia and the UK, said the company's mission was to bring clarity to the complex world of ICT security.
"Granting our clients knowledge of the real threats and risks they face, which brings the understanding required to provide the best contextual protection."
Bailey's previous positions have included roles on large projects with the likes of ANZ Bank, Optus, Abbey National Treasury Services, Lehman Brothers, T-Mobile, JPMorganChase, COLT Telecommunications, Dimension Data and Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
The Missing Link was established in 1997. The present owners of the company, Alex Gambotto and Daniel Forsythe, were among the founding team.
Marshall will take the role after more than 15 years in ICT. He has worked as administrator, engineer, consultant and technical lead across Unix infrastructure and security domains. His previous roles have included positions on large projects with Sun Microsystems, Roads and Maritime Services, RailCorp, Vodafone Hutchison Australia, Caltex, Dimension Data and Lloyds.
