Vodafone is teaming up with Last.fm to offer mobile phone users an app that tracks the music they listen to and builds an online profile they can share with their friends.

Last.fm's Scrobbler system is currently only available for a select number of handsets including the Nokia N96, N78 and 219. However, Vodafone says it will offer compatability with more handsets in the future. As well as sharing their musical tastes with their friends, the app also offers a feature that suggests new music based on the tracks they are currently listening too.
