HTC One Max

Photos have appeared online of what claim to be the HTC One Max, codenamed the T6, smartphone.

We already have the HTC One and the HTC One mini version of the handset, but now photos of the rumoured HTC One Max have been leaked online. Taiwanese site ePrice posted exclusive pictures of the 5.9in whopper. See also: HTC One review: a fantastic high-end Android smartphone.

The HTC One Max has the same dual front-facing speakers and a 9.4mm aluminium body. It will take on phones like the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Sony Xperia Z Ultra.

"One mini (lower) and One Max front styling is almost the same, but the One Max fuselage wider, more rounded look like some of the upper and lower ends of the screen and the frame is also narrower than the One mini." said the post.

ePrice leaked plenty of juicy specifictiaons including a 2.3GHz  Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM. It will have 16GB of internal storage, an Ultrapixel rear camera, 2.1Mp front camera and unlike other HTC One phones, a microSD card slot.

The leak goes on to say the HTC One Max might come with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie and even the possibility of a stylus, too. Furthermore, HTC could be putting a fingerprint scanner on the back of the device – the iPhone 5S is rumoured to come with the same feature.

Other rumours suggest a 3300mAh battery underneath a removable rear cover, for the mainland China model anyway.

It is expected that HTC will unveil the HTC One Max at this year's IFA technology show in Berlin next month. We'll be there bringing you all the latest so stay tuned.
