Apple has begun notifying customers who have ordered a cellular 4G LTE iPad mini that their new tablet will be shipped next week.

An email sent to customers in the US by Apple on Thursday reads: "Good news - we plan to ship your iPad in the next five business days. We'll email you with a tracking number and carrier information once your iPad is on the way."

Apple has also added new downloads of iOS 6.0.1 for the cellular iPad mini and fourth-generation iPad ahead of their launch, indicating that they are expected to arrive imminently.

On the UK Apple Store, the dispatch estimate for the WiFi plus Cellular iPad mini and iPad 4 is still listed as "Late November."
