Apple has once again pushed back the UK shipping date of the iPad, due to strong demand in the US.

Those pre-ordering any of the six variations of Apple's tablet are now being given June 7 as the 'ships by date'. At the beginning of the week, when Apple first began taking pre-orders for the iPad, the 'ships by' date was listed as May 28.

Apple said that those that have already pre-ordered the device will still recieve it on May 28.

Apple announced in April it was delaying the iPad launch internationally in nine countries - Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK - until the end of MayFaced due to "surprisingly strong" US demand for the device.

The iPad is priced at £429 for the 16GB model, £499 for 32GB and £599 for 64GB Wi-Fi models. The Wi-Fi + 3G models start at £529 for 16GB, £599 for 32GB and £699 for 64GB. All prices include VAT.

Additionally, Apple plans to release the iPad in Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore sometime in July.

Apple announced earlier this month it had sold its one millionth iPad just 28 days after the product's US launch.
