Telstra today announced to launch the Cisco Intercloud platform in Hong Kong and Singapore.
Unveiled earlier this year, Telstra's Cisco Cloud Services platform is now live in trial mode for selected customers and partners in Australia.
Telstra's Cisco Intercloud platform, an OpenStack-based infrastructure-as-a-service public cloud offering, will add to the company's existing infrastructure capabilities in Australia, Asia and Europe.
Hybrid cloud strategy
Through partnering with cloud infrastructure providers, Telstra will help customer transition to hybrid cloud and public cloud as part of the company's hybrid cloud strategy, according to Erez Yarkoni, executive director cloud at Telstra.
"Through our strategic relationship with Cisco, development of the Cisco Intercloud has progressed well in Australia with Telstra customers and partners now trialing the service," said Yarkoni. He added that Telstra will continue to add a variety of cloud solutions.
