YouView has added Quest OD to its already long list of catch-up services.
Users of the YouView service can now keep up to date with the Freeview factual entertainment TV channel's content up to seven days after broadcast. Quest OD joins YouView's already strong line-up of services including BBC iPlayer, 4OD, ITV Player and Demand 5. See also: BBC extends iPlayer catch-up window to 30 days.
Richard Halton, CEO of YouView said, "We're delighted Quest has decided to launch its catch up player on YouView. This adds even more great on demand content to our seamless and easy to use TV service for our customers to enjoy."
Programmes available on Quest OD include Hot and Dangerous with Omid Djalili, Salvage Hunters, Robson Green: Extreme Fisherman, Toy Hunters and Overhaulin'.
YouView users can either head to the on-demand section of the menu or simply use the seven day scroll back feature of the electronic programme guide (EPG) to find and watch content.
"Quest is one of the fastest growing free-to-air channels amongst men," said Simon Downing, head of Quest. "Adding Quest OD to YouView will help more viewers enjoy the channel and its great content whenever it suits them."
The new service is another feather in YouView's cap and will help it in the fight against rivals including the freshly announced EE TV which is free for all EE broadband customers but lacks catch-up services with only BBC iPlayer, Wuaki.tv and Demand 5 at launch. However, it does have the ability to stream to up to four smartphones or tablets simultaneously.
