Jeans manufacturer Levi yesterday unveiled the latest trousers in its collection, which are specially designed to block out mobile phone radiation.
The jeans, called the S-Fit, have a specially designed pocket for a mobile phone that uses 'special radiation reducing lining'.
But Levi, who says the lining 'might reduce' possible health risks, would not reveal the tests it had conducted in creating the material.
Clothes manufacturer Dockers has designed the anti-radiation lining. But the move has been criticised by those who claim Levi is cashing in on the health scares associated with mobile phones.
Levi was unavailable to comment.
The jeans will go on sale next year and are expected to cost around £100.
