Kaspersky Total Security 2015 is the latest edition of Kaspersky's comprehensive security suite, which delivers strong all-round protection for PCs, Macs, Android, iOS and Windows Phone 8 devices.

The core of the program comes packed with features: antivirus detects even the very latest malware, a smart firewall blocks network attacks, browsing protection stops you reaching malicious sites, antispam keeps your inbox clear, parental controls protect your kids, and a virtual keyboard keeps your confidential data safe.

The latest build also warns you about programs which make unauthorised attempts to access your webcam.

New protection from Cryptolocker-type malware sees Total Security look out for suspect programs modifying your files, and immediately back up the originals.

Elsewhere, the firewall has been extended to check the security of wi-fi hotspots and warn of problems, like a vulnerable network connection or passwords being transferred in plain text.

Mobile devices get the same core protection, along with some valuable extras.

You're able to control what others see when they pick up your smartphone, for instance, hiding calls, texts, logs and more.

Powerful antitheft technology locates your missing device using GPS, wifi and Google Maps, then allows you to take pictures of the thief, sound an alarm, or even remotely wipe all your details.

Better still, Kaspersky Total Security 2015 includes an excellent password manager which stores your credentials centrally and synchronises them across all your devices.

There's plenty to explore, then, but Kaspersky's real strength lies in its strong all-round protection. As we write, AV-Comparatives latest Real-World Protection Test found Kaspersky blocked 99.4% of attacks, putting it 4th out of 22 products: check out the latest scores here.

Kaspersky Total Security 2015 offers some welcome additions, in particular the automatic document backups, webcam and wifi protection. We like the new interface, and as usual the suite provides rock solid protection.
