Tablet Deals 2018

Tablets come in all shapes and sizes, and not all tablets are created equal. The 'great deal' you are looking at may not be all that good if the tablet itself isn't great to use. There are some key things to consider. If you want to score a great deal on a tablet, here's what to look out for.

Tablets: Android, Windows or iPad

The iPad remains the default for may in the tablet world. And it is true that Apple's tablets are slick, easy to use and good performers. They aren't cheap, however, and an iPad is locked to Apple's iTunes world in a way that alternatives aren't. Consider carefully which iPad you go for, too. There is quite the array of iPads available new and second hand.

Android is most people's alternative tablet choice. Stick to the major manufacturers for quality. You can get a bargain by going for a no-brand Android tab, but you take a risk when doing so. And then there is Windows. More cut-down laptop than souped-up smartphone, Windows tablets are more work tools than entertainment devices, although they can do it all. As with Android there is some variety in terms of quality, and a big brand is better.

Tablet display and battery life

The key to getting a bargain tablet is to consider for what you want the device. Windows or an iPad Pro for productivity, a big, high-end display for watching videos. On the move a lot? You will likely want a smaller 7in tablet with good battery life. Stick with us to grab a great deal on a tablet.
