4K TV deals 2019

If you're in the market for a TV, you may have noticed that there's lots of talk about 4K and Ultra HD right now. Ultra HD and 4K mean essentially the same thing, and seem to be used interchangeably.

Put simply, 4K is four times the resolution of 'Full HD' video. Full HD means 1920x1080 pixels, whereas 4K refers to at 3840x2160 pixels. That means the picture you'll get from 4K is significantly sharper and crisper than Full HD.

Is a 4K TV worth buying?

The trouble with that, is that not every TV show or movie you watch will take advantage of all of those pixels. There is a lot more 4K content out there these days, but like the move from SD to HD, it takes time for all networks and streaming services to catch on.

Some Netflix content and Amazon content is already available in 4K, and there are some channels that show certain TV shows in 4K from time to time.

You can also buy Ultra HD Blu-ray movies and shows if you have an Ultra HD Blu-ray player.

While 4K is early days, we'd recommend investing in a 4K TV if you can afford it, particularly if you spot a good deal like those shared here on Tech Advisor. This will future-proof your television to ensure you don't need to buy a new one for several years, as it looks like 4K isn't going anywhere (unlike 3D).
