Where to find Fitbit deals

You can find Fitbit deals around the web from various different retailers from time-to-time. It's worth checking them all if you're on the hunt for a great deal because you never know when a new discount might appear.

These are the most likely of places, so we'd recommend you check these first:

Don't forget to sign up for the 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime to get access to Lightning Deals 30 minutes early, as well as free next day delivery, as we've seen Fitbits as part of Amazon's daily deals quite often.

Fitbit Versa 3, Inspire 2 and Sense - Discontinued Fitbits offer great value

Consider just-discontinued models, too, for bargains. For example, Fitbit is no longer selling the original Versa (which had a RRP of £199.99), just the Lite edition (£149), so look out for discounts on that model elsewhere. Amazon currently has the Versa 1 on sale for £124.99, which is a £75 discount. .

Fitbit will also be launching new devices with the Versa 3 due 25 September, though it's already available to pre-order. Along with the Versa 3, Fitbit will launch an all-new Fitbit Sense tracker, which will replace the Ionic smartwatch – so expect major discounts on the older model coming weeks. Amazon already has £101 off.

Also joining the line-up is the Ionic 2, to replace the entry-level Inspire and Inspire HR. Again, expect discounts to roll in on the older models soon. Read about Fitbit's new devices and features here.

Of course, the Inspire Fitbits replaced the Alta and Alta HR models, so look out for bargains there, too. Unless the Alta totally drops off the market, we expect prices should reduce even further. The cheapest we've seen it previously was for £75 on Scan.

We’ve got a complete guide to choosing the best Fitbit here. Fitbit also has a comparison tool which can help you decide device is best for you.

When is Black Friday 2020 - should you wait for a better deal?

Black Friday will take place on Friday 27 November, immediately followed by Cyber Monday on 30 November. Traditionally the biggest sales event of the year, it may yet throw up some even greater tech deals - but with so much uncertainty around finance and retail, and no guarantees regarding what discounts we will see, we advise you not to wait: if you see a deal you like, on a product you need, and you can afford the outlay, buy it today.

Fitbit Premium free trial

As a response to the global effect of Covid-19 on the closure of public paces like gyms, Fitbit has extended its 7-day free trail of Fitbit Premium to an impressive 90 days for new customers – which is great incentive to stay fit while stuck indoors.

Fitbit Premium offers additional personalized health insights to Fitbit owners, like advanced sleep tools, and access to over 150 videos and audio work outs. The service otherwise costs £7.99/US$9.99 per month or £79.99/US$79.99 per year.

The easiest way to get the offer is through the app (trust us, we tried finding the offer on desktop and got nowhere) which is free on Android or iOS. After creating and logging into your account, select the 'Premium' icon at the bottom of the dashboard. You'll see options to sign up for either a monthly or annual subscription, which will activate the option to start your trial. Don't worry, you can cancel 24 hours before the trial ends, otherwise it auto-renews,
