LG’s GBW-H10N is an internal Blu-ray drive that uses the standard IDE interface. The LG GBW-H10N is a simple plug-in replacement for most optical drives.

Similar to Lite-On’s LH-2B1S, LG's GBW-H10N supports a wide range of DVD formats - but it also supports up to five-speed DVD-RAM. LG's GBW-H10N proudly boasts four-speed Blu-ray capability and, although four-speed discs are not readily available, it managed to burn our sample two-speed TDK media at four-speed. We also found the LG GBW-H10N faster than the Lite-On LH-2B1S in our DVD-based tests - often by over a minute.

Although limited to 12-speed recording with DVD+R media, the LG GBW-H10N is capable of write speeds just 23 seconds slower per disk than Samsung's Writemaster SH-S183A 18-speed product. Indeed, the LG GBW-H10N's 12-speed DVD–R recording was faster than that of an 18- (Samsung Writemaster SH-S183A) and 20-speed (Lite-On LH-20A1PU) drive.
