HTC One in Glamour Red smartphone

After a few months on sale, HTC has released a 'Glamour Red' version of its HTC One flagship smartphone. Here's our HTC One Glamour Red review (check out our HTC One Glamour Red video review).

As you might expect, the Glamour Red version of the HTC One doesn't differ much from the original handset. It is essentially just a new colour option to choose from on top of the silver and black models.

At the time of writing, the HTC One in Glamour Red is exclusive to Phones 4U which is where we got our shiny review sample.

The HTC One has an exquisite design with an aluminium uni-body design which has nice curves to comfortably fit the hand. All of the aluminium on this version of the HTC One is anodised in a dark but bright red – the plastic side sections and thin lines on the back are all black.

The headphones supplied in the box are even highlighted with red sections on the tips, in-line control and jack connector – a nice touch from HTC.

Although the name gives it quite a feminine feel, the actual real life colour is very much unisex. It's our favourite colour of the HTC One, in fact.

Everything else on the smartphone remains the same, so you still get the 4.7in Full HD display (still the smartphone with the highest pixel density on the market), the 4Mp Ultrapixel camera which is great in low light and 32GB of storage. Unfortunately HTC hasn't added a microSD card slot which would have been nice.

You also get Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with HTC's Sense 5 overlay out-of-the-box. We particularly like the TV app which not only shows you what's on the box, but lets you control multiple devices with the infrared transmitter.
