Razer Nabu X SmartBand UK release date & price: When is the Razer Nabu X coming out? How much will the Razer Nabu X cost?

Razer's Nabu X has been on sale in the UK since the end of January. You can buy it now via the Razerstore, priced at £44.99.

The Nabu X is dubbed a 'social wearable', and you'll get more from the device if your friends are also wearing Nabu smartbands. For that reason a unique Band Together campaign means that if you buy the Nabu X before 31 May you'll receive a second smartband free to give to a friend.

Razer Nabu X SmartBand specification and features: What to expect from the Razer Nabu X

The Nabu X is a simple smartband that's available in black, white or green, with one size to fit all. Unlike the original Nabu, rather than an LCD you get three customisable-colour LEDs and a cylindrical vibration motor that offer discreet notifications. The sensor is also detachable from the band.

In comon with many fitness devices the Nabu X can monitor your sleep, but it's an activity tracker at heart, able to measure your steps walked, distance travelled, calories burned, active minutes and how close you are to hitting your goals.

Social features are particularly compelling with the Nabu X. Pulse technology lets the Nabu X talk to other Razer smartbands, including the original Nabu. You just shake hands to exchange information, and can then compare your activity data or enjoy multiplayer games.

You can connect to the same third-party apps as can the original Nabu, including MyTracker, Health, Google Fit and more. The Nabu X pairs with a phone over Bluetooth 4.0 LE and is compatible with the iPhone 5, 5s, 5c, 6 and 6 Plus, plus devices running Android 4.3 or later.

This activity tracker from Razer has IP67 certification, which means it's waterproof up to 1m. You'll get between five- and seven days battery life from the rechargeable Nabu X SmartBand.
