Sony has updated and improved Sound Forge Audio Studio, making it more powerful yet still simple to use.
It is possible to record vocals, instruments and podcasts and then edit and master the audio with pro-level control over EQ, volume and effect processing such as delay, chorus and reverb. One particularly impressive new feature is the Vinyl Recording and Restoration tool which enables you to convert your LPs and cassettes to CDs or MP3 files and even detects pauses.
If you have ever fancied making your own karaoke-style tracks then the Vocal Eraser plug-in developed by iZotope that comes with Sound Forge Audio Studio allows you to remove vocals from recordings to sing along with or extract them from songs for remixing.
The application also includes support for DirectX and VST audio effect and comes with 1001 sound effects and you can now even customise the user interface. Other new tools that have been added to the application include disc-at-once CD burning so you can produce professional CDs to share all within one application. The marker and region ruler have also been updated and now feature selection snapping for even better control over your project.
Sound Forge Audio Studio is available now priced at £44.99 inc VAT.
