Checkpoint Software has released a super-secure of version of ZoneAlarm security suite. ZoneAlarm Extreme Security 2010 is billed as the company's first program to offer full hard disk encryption.
Data protected by ZoneAlarm Extreme Security 2010 is protected by 256bit AES encryption, meaning that a lost or stolen laptop will be nearly impossible to break in to. Checkpoint research suggests that three quarters of identity theft occurs as a result of lost or stolen equipment.
Checkpoint says the encryption on ZoneAlarm Extreme now even extends to temp files and cookies and deleted or hidden files. A faster, unified scanning engine identifies rogue files without delay, picking up everything from Trojans and spyware to more traditional types of virus.
A virtual browser known as ForceField checks for and verifies the legitimacy of websites and prevents you visiting any rogue sites. Other new features include a password recovery assistant, an enhanced firewall and a credit score monitoring service that gives you regular updates on any changes to your credit rating so you can quickly see if someone has tried to hack your identity. The service also helps you repair your credit rating and rebuild your identity should it be stolen.
Checkpoint ZoneAlarm Extreme Security 2010 is available for download from today and costs $29.95 for a single licence or $69.95 for a three-user licence.
