Sony has expanded its Cyber-shot range of digital compact cameras with three new models that feature Smile Shutter and Intelligent Scene Recognition technology, previously only available on high-end models in the Cyber-shot range.

Smile Shutter technology automatically closes the shutter when a smile is detected and can be adjusted to prioritise children's or adults' smiles, while Intelligent Scene Recognition will optimise the camera's settings dependent on he scene, for exampl a backlit or night time shot.

The 12.1Mp Cyber-shot W220 and W210 come with a 4x optical zoom Carl Zeiss lens. Both cameras benefit from a face detection feature and SteadyShot image stabilisation technology that reduces camera shake and helps prevent blurred images.
